Hats off to the softball team! After beating THE Ohio State University twice to reach the Regional Finals, today they defeated Tennessee twice to win the Knoxville Regional!
If I read things right, I think they play Stanford in the Super Regional after they beat #4 seed Arkansas - Tennessee was the 11 seed.
Quite an accomplishment.

bvrbooster - Hats off is right!
To beat Tennessee back to back in Knoxville gotta be pretty damn impressive... Thanks for posting.... Now if you can figure out who Martha Pietsch is - and why she is only 5'5 - send that along... GO BEAVS!!

What we need to know is what amazing skill she has that off-sets that disadvantage. Very quick, great ball handler, passer and floor leader? Maybe that would be enough. Based on her stats, her scoring ability is in doubt. And there is also the question of whether whatever talents she has will show up against PAC-12 competition.

That is awesome! Having spent quite a bit of time in Knoxville for work, it is great to knock that pathetic chum-salmon color out of the tourney, in their house no less! True orange moves on!

At least you kept it off the football board. A lot of guys there don't like other sports mentioned there. The ones that think all the dollars should stay with football.

Martha Pietsch is only 5' 5'' because she failed to reach 5'6" - I'm sure she wanted to, though.

Stanford beat Alabama, the #6 seed. From Pac-12 web site: That's progress! When an unranked softball team can get hot and win the tournament like Fresno State and Oregon State did in baseball that will be a great day for the sport. Maybe OSU can make that happen this year 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
