I like the D1 much better. I guess. I don't really like either projection, but you have to eventually beat them all to raise the trophy.

The upcoming series with UCLA will determine if we stay a national seed. If we win it, we should be a lock regardless of the Pac-12 tourney.....if we lose it then the only way to stay a national seed is to win the Pac-12 tournament.....otherwise we will lose out on it. I would rather win the series with UCLA and get the national seed question mark behind us

Zaga has a formidable pitching corps and will be dangerous come tournament time

I don't think?? I just don't see (6) other teams jumping OSU this late in the season.

Osu won't lose being a top 8 seed losing to Ucla 2/3. Losing two series against NCAA teams 2-1 isn't any shame. Both teams have very good players and are good programs with the legit expectation of Omaha. We're not on the bubble being a 7 or 8 ranked national seed. It's your body of work...not a couple series against very solid teams. Arizona was at Omaha last year.

Stanford is looming right there for a national seed and getting two national seeds from the Pac means we still have to take care of things on our side.

Good point but if we lose the series to UCLA....that would make it three series losses in the Pac. Stanford at home ...Arizona on the road and UCLA again at home.

It's your body of work...not a couple series against very solid teams. Arizona was at Omaha last year. It's body of work. However, the Committee gets to say things like, but that was before Boyd got hurt. I want Boyd to come back healthy, so there is no Jekyll and Hyde argument about Oregon State pre- and post-Boyd. Also, losing two series teams 2-1 is not a shame, but that would be a 3-6 record against the top three (presumably) teams in the Pac-12. And 2-4 at Goss. Finish that up with an 1-2 or 0-2 finish at Scottsdale Stadium, and you are going to hear body of work against Big Five Tournament teams. That does not really scream National Seed to me. I will just throw in here that Oregon winning the series against Arizona to finish fourth would really help how Oregon State's overall body of work looks on paper. I tend to agree with you that 1-2 (with an Oregon series win against Arizona) probably leaves Oregon State in position to earn a top eight seed with a top four finish at Scottsdale, but you would like to leave a little more room for error in Scottsdale. 0-3 (especially with an Arizona sweep and a 2-1 or better Stanford finish), and Oregon State probably needs to be at least playing on Sunday in Scottsdale. And that may not be enough.

I like this projection.. Has Gonzaga as national seed. Live in Spokane and only like 5 mins from their stadium. Would be cool to watch them and watch the Ucks lose at same time. Arizona is in the bracket opposite OSU. Wouldn't that be an interesting Super Regional?

Would someone please help me understand how the hosts of the Super Regionals are decided? I get the top 16 hosting, but how does the location get decided after that?
Thanks in advance - google hasn't been especially helpful.
GO BEAVS.
