There's a great old joke about Prefontaine. When he got back from the Olympics he went on a training run with his Norwegian teammates Knut and Arne Kvalheim. Arne said "hey Pre, did you hear? The City is going to name a street in your honor". Pre took the bait and said, "Really? Prefontaine Street?"
Arne set the hook and said,
"Nope - Fourth Street".
