I guess that Bendu Yeaney is on her official visit to the Huskies this weekend..... I am sure she has been around the Oregon State program with the proximity, anyone know if she will be visiting us one of the coming weekends?
Bendu and Evina would *really* round out this class and give us some great future back court players (along with Aleah).
Go Beavers!!

Appears she chose Indiana. Tough to loose the in state kids. Here's hoping Westbrook stays home.

Weird she'd choose Indiana over us or UW, two tournament teams.

Must be a family thing.... can't imagine any other reason to go to Indiana.

ESPN lists both her and Aleah Goodman as PG's. I haven't seen much of either, but Goodman is the higher ranked PG between the two of them. I wonder if that had anything to do with it...

I find it easier to deal with a Oregon recruit going to a non-Pac 12 school then staying somewhere where they can be a constant thorn in our side :-). In that sense I am relieved (but similarly puzzled) at her decision.
IU did the whole "bring all the recruits in on the same weekend" visit strategy, and it looks like it paid off for them.
Aleah Goodman did get her AAU coach Sopak to say some pretty strong things about how she was the steal of the recruiting season for SR......while it may have been coach-speak, Sopak didn't need to wax that poetic, and he has seen plenty of talent come thru his program.

This morning, my wife told me our niece's friend Bendu just signed a LOI with Indiana. Only then did I realize Bendu has been to my house a couple of times with my niece. I had no idea she was a big-time basketball player. I do know that my sister-in-law took her to at least one basketball game last year, but again, I didn't know she was a potential recruit.

Yeaney has entered the transfer portal.
She would likely be a candidate for immediate eligibility, and is looking to return to the west coast:
Yeaney suffered a torn Achilles during the Hoosiers’ second-round NCAA tournament game against Oregon last spring and appeared in only six games this season. The Portland, Ore., native is leaving for personal reasons.
“I have made the difficult decision to leave Indiana and pursue opportunities to continue my collegiate career closer to home,” Yeaney said in the release. “The health of one of my immediate family members has heightened my desire to be closer to the West Coast. I am thankful for my three seasons in Bloomington. I would like to thank Teri Moren and staff for the opportunity to wear the Cream and Crimson for nearly three seasons. I wish the program the best and continued success in the future.”

Yeaney announced her commitment to Arizona. They’ve been a popular destination for transfers in the recent years.
