We may have a bit of an edge in this one: Aquira hails from St. Mary's in Stockton, same school as Ali Gibson and Kat Tudor.....now we just have to beat out 20 other schools..... twitter.com/d1_shiftteamGo Beavs!

Aquira DeCosta's name is one that is extremely well-known to all of the top programs in the country. She has been in the public eye prior to helping lead her St. Mary's team to a state title as a freshman and her Cal Stars Nike Elite squad to an EYBL national title (along with Kay Tudor) in 2015. DeCosta's athleticism at 6'1"/6'2" puts her in very select company. She is a quick leaper. The University of Cal message board is hopeful that DeCosta will stay local and choose the Bears. That forum felt the same way about Ionescu before growing weary of her extended indecision.
Turn to 5:52 of the video below to catch a glimpse of some of the training and skills drills that show the potential of this Class of 2018 star.

And Aquira has narrowed her list to 14, and the Beavers did not make her cut.
Go Beavs!
