on Feb. 4, 2022 in the midst of a bit of 'ga-ga' about the highly touted incoming Beaver freshmen catchers, (Weber / Smith) I posted:
"Gavin Logan will not only be the starting catcher on Feb. 18, 2022, but he will be behind the plate for 85% or more of the games this season. Look for his offense to be an important piece in the overall run scoring scenario. The guy is a gamer (he's Canadian for goodness sakes!)."
VERY Self-serving of me to remind Benny's House of this post this now...but at least I was right ! His 2 run double yesterday, conveniently removed all of the drama from the top of the 9th inning. Gavin is .865 OPS this season with 25 RBI and only 12 SO in 105 AB.

He's started 28 of 45 games. That's 62%. He's been good. But so has Tanner Smith.

He's started 28 of 45 games. That's 62%. He's been good. But so has Tanner Smith. True that, but the % would be higher (maybe still not 85%) without an injury forcing him out for a few weeks. It’s great that Logan has really taken the job, but it’s equally great that Tanner has been almost as good (and arguably better against LHPs). Go Beavs!

Heard they were going to give him some meth before the race. Put $20 on him.
