Oregon State's prized recruits like Gavin Turley, Dallas Macias and Tyler Gough all receive frequent attention playig on nationally ranked prep teams in the spring and high profile national travel teams in the summer and fall, but our in-state Oregon recruits are also equal to the task of playing great baseball. Here is a brief look at three of local kids that are impressing their future coaches at OSU.
Center Fielder Canon Reeder draws strong scouting reviews for his fast bat and warp speed. The Bend-Summit HS star has led his team to a 13-5 record to date by posting some eye-catching stats and head-turning performances at the plate and in the field. Canon’s slash line this season is .533/ .574/ 1.000 with OPS of 1,574. He blasted 2 home runs last week against South Salem HS and has left the yard 4 times this season. He’ll take his quick stick and sub 6.5 60 speed to Corvallis in the fall and suit up for national power, Oregon State.
The Jesuit Crusaders are 16-2 and put their pitching on display last week by shutting out Southridge HS in a 3 game Metro League series. Jesuit’s ace, left hander Nelson Keljo opened the series by throwing 92 mph fastballs on the knees for 7 innings that resulted in 14 strike outs, only 2 walks and a no-hit game. Keljo will bring those bullets to Oregon State in the fall.
The state’s top ranked team, the West Linn Lions used their ace, right hander Drew Talavs to shut down the potent Tualatin HS attack. Talavs, who is headed to Oregon State next fall, located his lively fastball (89-91 mph), and a biting slider to offset his plus change up and record a flurry of strikeouts. West Linn is 16-1 and getting some timely hitting from Sophomore slugger, catcher Ryan Vandenbrink (OSU class of 2024)

I believe Reeder hit a walk off grand slam in extra innings last Saturday in a league game. He for sure hit a GS and the game went to extra innings, I could be wrong about the walk off part.
Some top instate commits are not mentioned in your report, anything reason for that?

Saw Cannon at Mt. View on 4/20 and know some people working with him. Hes not missing many tools imo. He will fit right into our love of stealing bases and extra base hits with his pure speed.
