There is good news and bad news. The good news is Oregon State's 2024 recruiting class is loaded with outstanding pitching. The bad news is they might all be drafted in 2024. They are that good! The Beavers have 3 pitchers in the National Top-50 players overall. Zach Edwards is #32, Jake McKowen is #38, and Zach Swanson is #48. Ironically, the Australian phenom, Oscar Hyde might be the best of the bunch but he has no USA ranking with Rawlings Perfect Game. The 5th pitcher, Noah Sorenson is a talented prospet with a huge upside but hasn't been seen much outside of the Seattle area - no national exposure or accompying ranking. His travel team seldom wanders from Washington and the Puget Sound area.
Eight of the eleven commited recruits are nationally ranked. Infielder Leo Cote is a Quebec, Canada native and has no US ranking. The aforementioned Aussie, Hyde also has no US ranking. The position players are:
