I don't follow too closely but always check scores and root. I've read on the board the anticipation of replacing him. Looks like he's still around. Did he get a Tinkle like extension? 🙂

Did he get a Tinkle like extension? 🙂 I can only conclude from the evidence that nobody in OSU Athletics leadership cares about Volleyball. I believe it is one of the programs that all Pac-12 schools must participate in (FB, MBB, WBB, VB) and it appears that may be our only reason for having a team.

Is our VB program hampered with poor facilities?

Is our VB program hampered with poor facilities? VB has Gill all to itself in the Fall. MBB and WBB have their separate practice facility so there are almost no conflicts. OSU VB gameday has custom synthetic floor overlay which is, as I understand it, superior to competing directly on the hardwood basketball floor. No, I don't think facilities are an issue. As far as I know, only WSU has a volleyball-specific home court (Bohler Gym).

Not to hi-jack the tread but just thought I would mention (okay brag) about my 6'4" granddaughter who is a very good volleyball player. In March she verbally accepted a full ride to Kansas but then in April UCLA came calling and she now has a full ride to be a Bruin. She is certainly the first D-1 athlete or any real athlete at any level in our family so we are actually quite thrilled even if she will not be a Beaver (sigh). I did communicate with the OSU Volleyball recruiters to mention to them that I would love to see my granddaughter Brooklyn in Orange and Black. They wrote back that she was definitely on their radar but I don't think she ever really considered OSU. She really wanted to hear from Stanford (her GPA is something like a 4.3) but UCLA is close to home (north San Diego County) so that might work out fine. I told her that if she ever wants to change her mind there is always this Transfer Portal thingy I have heard about (ugh).

SHe's a "big city" girl, so she's used to it, and if you have to be in LA by choice Westwood is where to land. SHe'll have a GREAT time there. Plus, ulike OSU, they basically have a reserved seat in the NCAAs! They've missed like (3) tourneys in 41 years of NCAA play. So, there's that. Good luck to her. Congrats to you and the family.

We just signed three players, including an all-Big Ten grad transfer setter from Rutgers. Setter has been a major hole for us since the women who was the Pac-12 Frosh of the Year when Mary Kate Marshall played transferred back to Oklahoma. Thinking last year's setter, Izzy Szulczewski, can transition to libero to take Grace Massey's place. osubeavers.com/news/2022/5/3/barnard-announces-additions-to-2022-roster.aspx

Program is in a much deeper hole than the MBB program by any objective measure.
