Yikes!! A costly decision earlier this year. What was it? Sorry, not up to speed. He turned down a contract because he wanted to wait till he got healthy. Now he's injured without a contract.

Multiple reports but, "Michael Conforto Turned Down Nine-Figure Extension Prior To 2021 Season. Outfielder Michael Conforto turned down an extension offer from the Mets one year ago, reports Andy Martino of SNY. Per Martino's tweet, the contract offer was “in the $100 million range” and “would have gone to about $120MM.”Mar 19, 2022"

Scott Boras strikes again. Ugh. Yup. And players need to realize the agents work for them. I hope conforto can recoup what he lost, but two shoulder surgeries and being 30 don't make it seem likely. It sucks, because had he been healthy, he could have hit 350+ HR's in his MLB career. Not HOF material, but a damn fine career. Very Ron Gant like numbers, which are very good. Gant played 16 seasons, and missed a season in his prime to injury.

Scott Boras strikes again. Ugh. Conforto has the final say. The offer was there. At his age, chance of injuries it was a no "brainer" should have signed. As mentioned above agents aren't in charge.
