Forrester's OBP is just slightly better than Boyd's (.500-.485). And Melton is a lefty. Meggs played it by the book. Once Bazzana tripled the dye was cast.

If you care, Wazzu has a 7-2 lead in the bottom of the 8th. Duckies having trouble with the LOB stat. You jinxed them into cougin’ it

Ugly. 5 runs for the Quackheads in the bottom of the 9th, even with the ump trying to help the Cougs. Extra innings in Eugene.

Bottom of 10 Meckler grounds out to 1b. Bazzana triples!!!!!!! Here we go! Melton is walked intentionally. Boyd is intentionally walked. Forrester base hit over right fielder's glove. You mess with the Donkey, you get to kiss his ass. 4-3 Beavs win! That there is Grade A funny! Thanks irimi, great job! I'm a happy drunk. Kampai!

When Julius Caesar came to the Rubicon, he declared with loud voice to those who were present " Iacta alea est" and led the army across. Iacta alea est is usually translated "the die is cast." Alea was a game involving one or more lead dice. Here is a picture of a six-sided lead die that Caesar may have been referring to:

That was fun. Bullpen looks completely different than where they were a month ago. And great job by Carpenter not letting a bad call get to him like against Arizona State.

Great win. Hot takes: 1) Hjerpe with another outstanding game. The 3 runs were on Meckler imo, tough drop in the sun. Coop with 100 strike outs on the season. 2) Sebby struggles and Carpenter comes in and delivers like he works for DHL. Guy was nails with amazing stuff and 87% strikes. 3) Brown solid again. 4) Never disrespect the Donkey, ever. #3 and #4 are Laws of Nature. Underrated comment of the week.

uhhh.......anyone else think it was a super dumb idea to intentionally walk Melton and Boyd and put our guy with the best OBP on the team at the plate? Whos scouting? High chance of walk off walk? Run expectancy actually goes down with runners at the corners but not bases loaded. I believe that the thought is that Forrester is slower than Boyd. You lose almost every time in a tie ball game, when a guy triples with one out. I would have loaded 'em up as well given the situation and lineup. You gave your best pitcher every opportunity to beat one hitter to keep a game alive. Good coaching. Forrester just beat Raeth. Good on Forrester. Raeth is a very good pitcher. Meggs is a scumbag but a good strategist. He gets a lot out of who he has.

First of all his OBP.....and with bases loaded, he's most likely gonna get a pitch to hit....and if not, walk-off walk. You know he's not swingin at junk. Honestly, I'd rather take my chances with Melton. As good as he is, he swings at stuff out of the zone.

If you were going to go that route, I think that you still walk Melton and try and go after Boyd.

Brown gets the win and is now 4-0.......let's hear it for those Salem boys! And very economical too. Only took him 3 pitches!

we lost a ball in the sun, and they lost a ball in the dark. it sure is a funny game.
ok, just for fun, was anyone else whispering to themselves when Forrester came up, "squeeze a walk off!"
