I told my wife...."no other guy in the lineup I'd rather have up in this moment." First of all his OBP.....and with bases loaded, he's most likely gonna get a pitch to hit....and if not, walk-off walk. You know he's not swingin at junk. Honestly, I'd rather take my chances with Melton. As good as he is, he swings at stuff out of the zone. You have lefty-righty with Melton, though. If you were going to go that route, I think that you still walk Melton and try and go after Boyd. Yea I get the matchups, and both Boyd and Melton are fantastic hitters. I still think Big Country is maybe the one guy you don't wanna face in that sitch cuz of his plate discipline......and he's been squaring up the ball a lot. |

You have lefty-righty with Melton, though. If you were going to go that route, I think that you still walk Melton and try and go after Boyd. Yeah, I think that Meggs might have been better served walking Melton and trying to get Boyd with the idea that, if you get Boyd, you walk Big Country and bring a lefty to throw to Logan. |
