No medal for USWNT. And to put the cherry on top of the cake, US goalkeeper Hope Solo calls out the victorious swedes as "a bunch of cowards" and "the best team didn't win".
Very classy Hope. Maybe you should have boycotted the Olympics after all.

In a way it's too bad her impressive competitive accomplishments are going to be somewhat overshadowed by being such a childish loser. But she has no one but herself to blame for that. And she gave those cowardly Swedes a piece of her mind - she's got that going for her, which is nice.
BTW, I don't see a groundswell of supportive comments in her defense from her teammates - crickets.
