Justin Boyd's stock is going to rise as the season progresses.

Good for them! It's going to suck to see them go, so let's enjoy them while they are around!

Beyond that 13 round 'mock', I wonder how Rounds 14 - 20 might play out for eligible Beaver's (those who could play for Beavs next year)? May depend on how they perform in the rest of this season - long way to go.
Pitchers like Pfennigs, Ferrer and Sebby
Fielders/Hitters like Wheeler, Gavin Logan, Meckler...and Boyd (who turned 21 last month).

Pfennigs will go, he almost did last year even not getting drafted....and Boyd is in that list.
Ryan Brown another to add to the Ferrer and Sebby, would be great to get 2 back for Beavs but we'll also have guys step up like they have
Logan really interesting to me what happens there, luckily our future behind the plate looks good even without him

Always fun to see what kind of decision these guys are looking at. Note that players in the minor get paid by the week with some housing accommodations. A gets $500, AA gets $600 and AAA gets $700. For most people drafted the signing bonus is the only real money they ever make.
1st Rd. - 16th selection LHP Cooper Hjerpe ($4-3 million) 2nd Rd. - 3rd selection OF Gavin Turley - Chandler. Az.-Hamilton HS ($2-1.5 million) 3rd Rd. - 20th selection OF Jacob Melton ($900-600k) 6th Rd.- 8th selection OF Justin Boyd ($250k or less) 8th Rd. - 25th selection LHP Nelso Keljo - Portland, OR-Jesuit HS (100kish) 12th Rd. - 30th selection IF Ely Kennel, Corvallis, OR.-Santiam Christian HS (maybe a used subaru?)

Depending on how late of a model subie, based on current used car prices.....nothing to sneeze at

To me the break even point is like 800k or mid 3rd round. Average time to bigs is 5 years but only 15-20% of drafted players that enter the minors actually make it to the league. So essentially you are taking 5 years of salary and leaving behind 30,000ish per year of benefits from school. AAA players being in about 20k a season while A bring in about 15k. Obviously getting drafted for 200k as a senior is different than 200k as a high school kid.
Truly and Hjerpe are slam dunks to sign in my book. Melton is right on the edge with that spot. If I was Boyd I wouldn’t sign under mid third.

Gamer... but watch his OF arm. It's pretty weak even for college standards and hasn't shown any accuracy. Chin may have more specific info, but he just isn't as complete as the others. Heck, I've heard Melton being better suited for a corner OF or 1B?! I don't see him as MiLB CF, he has some holes at the plate, but not sure he's a 1B?? Meckler... draft in later rounds, even FA maybe fills out lower tier roster. IMHO

Yeah Meckler is becoming a key player for this team.....his at-bat these past couple of weeks have been instrumental in getting some of our wins. I would expect to see some chatter on him if he keeps this up...
