It sucks, and is supposed to rain at least some of the day for the rest of the week and through the weekend. This has been the most miserable March and April in my memory.

That's the 34 heading West into Corvallis a little more than three years ago. That's the Rowing Team at Trysting Tree Golf Course after the Willamette overtopped its banks on the East side on April 10, 2019.

The flood was a temporary event. The crappy weather that continues today, and which is supposed to continue at least through Friday, has been a miserable two-month slog.

The flood was a temporary event. The crappy weather that continues today, and which is supposed to continue at least through Friday, has been a miserable two-month slog. April's numbers aren't in yet..........obviously. March 2019 was the 31st-coldest in Oregon's history. March 2022 was the 17th-hottest in Oregon's history. Data is better for Eugene, but February 2019 was the second-snowiest February on record in Eugene with more than 19" There was an extreme cold spell from March 4-6. The low on the 4th was 23 with a wind chill near 20. The high was 44. On the 5th was 40 with a low of 25 and a wind chill again near 20. The 6th set several records for coldest high temperature in history from Eugene to Vancouver with daily high temperatures ranging from 35-37. Corvallis was 37 with a snow that lasted all morning into the late afternoon before giving way to rain and then freezing fog. The flooding on the 10th was a part of the storm that joined with another storm in the Southwest to create Winter Storm Ulmer, which created bomb cyclone conditions across the Rockies and Midwest that created snow, tornadoes and lingering flooding, causing more than a billion dollars in damages in the Midwest alone. So far, in 2022, Corvallis has had 2.66" of rain. April 2019 was the third-wettest in Oregon's history. By April 19, 2019, Corvallis had already experienced 6.29" of rain. April 7 was expected to be so wet (1.78") that the Utah Sunday game was proactively made part of a Saturday double-header. The 6th was not much better with 1.12" of rain. More rain fell on those two days alone in 2019 than the entire month so far in 2022. The Good Friday game was rained out on April 19, 2019, and made a part of a Holy Saturday doubleheader with Arizona. Oregon State swept both doubleheaders. I disagree with your recollection. Coronavirus makes it hard to remember things that happened before, but, outside of the fluke April snowstorm in the North Valley, I do not see anything that is really all that outside of the ordinary.

I don't think he was referring to downpours and flooding. It has just been cold and drizzly for the past month. Not a lot of inches of rain, but drizzly every freaking day.

April 2019 had zero days as nice as April 6th and 7th, 2022. It was very wet from March 21, 2019 until April 30, 2019. Never a really nice day. And there was another miserable week-and-a-half in the first half of March, as well. I suppose what you are saying is that you have not had like three nice days in a row? It looks like you will have two nice days in a row every week or two but never three in a row.

I don't think he was referring to downpours and flooding. It has just been cold and drizzly for the past month. Not a lot of inches of rain, but drizzly every freaking day. I believe that 2017 had fewer nice days. March 2017 was the 10th-wettest in Oregon's history, as opposed to the 24th driest in March 2022. April 2017 was almost as wet, 12th-wettest. And it was cold. 36th-coldest April in Oregon's history. Not as wet as 2019 but colder and it was the every day for two months kind of wet. The early Springs of 2018, 2020 and 2021 have spoiled y'all. Back when I was in High School: Corvallis: Salem: Downtown Oregon City: Willamette Falls: Oaks Park: Portland (before it got really bad): Sauvie Island: The Army had to reconfigure 60 dams, in order to ensure that flooding was not out-of-control in Portland. My yearbook had pictures of people tubing past the High School. The worst flood since the 60s. It has been worse in Oregon before in the early Spring.

March and April have sucked. Take it from people who actually live here.
And yes, April 2017 sucked too.
