Second half of the season and the rankings are starting to mean more. I like that Stanford got the nod in the D1 poll.
I like us sitting in the top 5. I like having the target on our back.

Massey still has Vir at #2 after being swept by Miami? Miami's sweep was in Coral Gables. Miami has a bad series loss to Florida at Coral Gables (lost a combined 21-9) in the first weekend in March, which weighs down their metrics. Virginia had that 14-0 start, whereas Miami started 10-4 and struggled to win the series against Harvard (11-6 loss and 2-1 win, where Harvard stranded the bases loaded in the sixth). Since then, Miami has gone 16-2 and Virginia has gone 12-6. It is obvious as to who the better team has been over the past five weeks, just not obvious to a computer looking at the season as a whole. |

Of all these polls I prefer D1 Baseball because the ucks aren't included. I've always preferred D1. They have a lot of good writers.....the no quacks sure doesn't hurt! |
