Moved to Texas a few months ago. Finally getting settled in. It's about a 3.5 hour drive to Baton Rouge so I figured what the heck, I'm going to go check out Alex Box Stadium. Since we've been there a few times in Regionals/Super Regionals, anyone been there? Got tickets (Standing Room Only) but wondering about the parking situation and any tips or tricks. And yes, I'll be donning my Beaver gear. I know I'll get a friendly raft of crap, but I've already talked with a couple of people that will be at the game and they said I'll be treated like a king. Any pointers would be helpful! Thanks in advance.

Remind the SEC followers if for some reason they give you crap that a few years ago the Beavs against the SEC in the playoffs were 6-1 with a combined score of 56-12.

I have been a few times. It's a great experience. The fans a very friendly, and will treat you great and with respect. There is a sports bar "Walk-on's" that is very close by. Great local flavor. Enjoy.

Remind the SEC followers if for some reason they give you crap that a few years ago the Beavs against the SEC in the playoffs were 6-1 with a combined score of 56-12. Oh, I remember...I was at the Regional where the first 1-1/2 innings was an 1-1/2 hours against LSU and it was something like 9 to 0 and none of LSU's pitchers could throw a strike and if they did, it was HR or a double. I think there were 5 pitching changes in the first 3 innings...remember it very well! |

Very uninformed before jumping to conclusions.....bring out the pitchforks! In 2017 their fans were pretty cool in Omaha for the most part, aside from one group of young fellers who were drinking too much.....almost had to intervene in a sitch where one of said young fellers was trying to pick a fight with a female Beaver fan.....those LSU fans sure like to party. |

From my experience, LSU's online fanbase is the WORST by far. They have a particular message board that is the most negative cesspool about their own teams - it's actually pretty funny to check out after a Tiger loss. |
