Nice Outings for Hunter and Lawson. Good to see them developing and stepping up.

Didn't have to use Sebby or Brown. A goal for the night.

I think he started out at Utah or BYU so I don’t think religion is a factor.

There's no point in running there. Never. Why do baseball players always try and run home from third on contact with a drawn in infield? Are they afraid that the outfielder will throw them out at the plate? it almost looked like he slowed down near home plate....did anybody else notice that

Ok...we got through that...now, in the spirit of Lombardi could somebody tell me what the hell was going on out there? Lots of interesting plays out there.....Bazzana getting bumped by Forrester on infield fly ball,,,,barely recovered in time to make the catch. Our batting effort with runners on third or loaded left a lot to be desired

I found it interesting that Melton got up in the 8th with no outs and ends up on third. If I had walked out of the room and walked back in later and saw Melton back up in the ninth I’d be thinking wahoo! How many runs have we scored since? 0? How’d that happen?

Briley Knight grew up in San Diego. He transferred to Crescent Valley between his sophomore and junior seasons. He was a catcher in high school. In 2018, Oregon State had Adley Rutschman, backed up by Troy Claunch. Fuchs and Meckler were both signed the same year. He committed to Utah and played in the outfield. After two years at Utah, he transferred to Portland, where he has solely played in the outfield. He has played every position but shortstop in the summers. Not really a place for Knight at Oregon State. He probably is better off in Portland.

Good outing for Hunter, and the pen came thru. Good to see Big Country continuing to find his swing. He has the potential to be our best hitter with his plate discipline.

Are they afraid that the outfielder will throw them out at the plate? it almost looked like he slowed down near home plate....did anybody else notice that I texted my buddy "Meckler woulda been safe there". His slide totally slowed him down.
