Meckler has been so reliable during this offensive slump. He is actually squaring up a baseball and hitting line drives, unlike many of his teammates, who hit pop ups & grounders. How far do you think that Melton foul ball went? It looked like he crushed it. I didn’t see it. How deep into the dog park was it? |

If fair it was a no doubter, weather, wind, or baseball full of spit, it was gone by a lot. |

Jaren Hunter with a efficient 4.2 pitches per out. Third solid outing in a row. Good sign for post season.

Townsend really rough this year. Era of 6 with .351 average against. He was 2.57 ERA last year. Good pitch to close the inning.

Dukart should be a real stud. I think he would be a fine SS. Just can't seem to get his bat going. He has never been a great hitter. 2nd year did go .350 but that looks like an anomaly. |

Dukart should be a real stud. I think he would be a fine SS. Just can't seem to get his bat going. He's not the only one. McDowell doesn't do anything productive offensively either. Gretler is another guy who isn't hitting.(He is sitting today but has a poor batting average) |
