It seems like our bullpen is responsible for 10-12 innings per weekend without Pfennig. I think Sebby, Ferrer and Brown have earned first crack at those innings. Other than that it’s been pretty hit and miss. Which puts Canham in a tough spot. If beavers are down 3 or 4 runs mid game does he try to hold the opponent there with the best guys and let the bats try to get back or save the best bullets for another day.

I think Canham is playing to win the game in front of him and not worry about tomorrow. Just a hunch, as I have no real evidence for that, except that he didn’t save Ferrer for Sunday like probably all of us expected. |
