He has had the surgery, a repair of a partial tear in the UCL. He will miss the 2022 season but will come back much quicker than he would have with the Tommy John procedure. TJ is usually 15-18 months, the repaired tear will be shorter.

It's very unlikely Fritsch will return. If he's drafted, he'll sign.

It's very unlikely Fritsch will return. If he's drafted, he'll sign. Which will be fine. Other pitchers will be coming in and some will be stepping up.

Getting some decent $$ and highly professional rehab, recovery staff and facilities along with it is a huge plus. There are lots of hidden dollars is the rehab and then the workout/recovery. Plus you are under the watchful eyes of those your are trying to impress full time. I have no idea what his "$ figure" will be, but the extras involved are a bug consideration.
