Boyd is in a very minor slump but he sure is clutch as hell. Made the base on a bunt to load the bases with 0 outs. Wont the game last night with a very tough single.

Stanford starter Dowd pulled after 49 piches. Replacement Matthews has lots of starting experience so its not going to get easy yet. Still a win to get the starter out with only 6 outs.

On a total side note, it is great to see Tyree Reed jogging at a good clip without a noticeable limp.

On a total side note, it is great to see Tyree Reed jogging at a good clip without a noticeable limp. That is awesome. I was getting curious how he was doing. Arguably one of the best new recruits which is unbelievable considering what we have seen from Smith, Bazzana, Guerra and Trosky. |

Wow, I bet Matthews hasn't walked 3 straight in a very very long time. If they pull him Stanford might be in serious bullpen problems.

Xmas in April. 3-straight bases-loaded walks followed by a wild pitch. You don’t see that very often at this level.
