A bunch of PRs today. Grace Fetherstonhaugh and Kaylee Mitchell both broke the OSU 1500 meter record by about 0.5 seconds, with Grace F finishing 3rd at 4:17.25 and Kaylee in 4th at 4:17.26. Mari Friedman finished 5th at an impressive 4:18.20. The old school record was 4:17.77 by Laura Carlyle back in 2012. As for "shattering" the record, that's probably a matter of perspective, but beating it by 0.52 seconds is still 0.52 seconds.
Isabelle Esler took 3rd in the Javelin at 151' 8", bettering her previous best of 139' 6" by over 12 feet. That really put a good light on their coaching - there have been similar improvement throughout the year.
Events start again tomorrow at about 11am
