Great game. His size might be an issue, especially on D, but he can play. Looking forward to watching him play for Beavers next year.

Still kind of hard to say how Pope is as far as a point guard goes. White did a large portion of the ball handling in the 2nd half, probably took on a little too much at times but he's a very good ypung basketball player.
The more I watch Mor Seck the more interesting I find him. I like guys who can set and tske a charge and he did it twice, along with several blocks. He'll be a good college player down the line.
Looks like we get another shot at seeing them play.

Player of the game...Prolific Prep wins 59-56. Pope 23 points. Pope interviewed I may have set some kind of record for the speed with which a post didn't age well (regarding Pope, from less than an hour ago): "He is far from being the star of Prolific Prep".
LOL. I thought I was stating the obvious when I said it. Glad it didn't age well today.

It's definitely hard for me to say, since today is the first time I've ever seen him play, but he brought the ball up the court nearly every time in the first half. He seemed to do it well, so not sure if they switched to White doing it more in the second half because they felt there was an issue or if they wanted Pope to be more in position to score. At any rate, I didn't see anything in his ball handling to worry about. Also, he held his own on defense even when he was giving up height. But, he may not have been guarding scorers (not sure on that).

Tomorrow’s game may tell us more, but I think he’ll OK at point. I’ll venture to say he’ll be at least as good as Hunt with regards to playmaking.

I'm not worried about height, seems to me we've been killed by a few short point guards in the past. One from UW springs to mind.....

The dude is 6'0 per his profile - I was expecting him to be 5'9" or less based on this thread. I mean, the NBA has a ton of 6'0" PGs...

There were players in that game going to SC,Ucla,Kansas,Duke, etc,or atleast on his team or their opponent. He held his own to say the least in my opinion. Fourth leading scorer on a star studded team...SC,Ucla,Kansas,for their top three scorers, and the underclassmen are very gifted too. Seems to be a level headed kid when he was interviewed afterward. Team guy...not a prima Donna on that squad. Good get. Just need that letter of intent signed on the 13th.

...And it was nice to have OSU mentioned several times during the broadcast. Good publicity never hurts.

I had the game on as I was working but I hardly noticed him most of the game.

I mean, the NBA has a ton of 6'0" PGs... it’s not his height so much (though I doubt he’s 6 foot) but his slight frame. 24/7 has him listed at 6-0, 165, so he’s probably 5-10 and a 1/2, and 155 pounds. He might have the skinniest legs I’ve seen on a good high school player. He’s a good player and great get for the Beavs, but given his size him having defensive limitations in college is a worry. Regardless though, I coul see him becoming a fan favorite.

Agreed though, in this game Gradey didn’t look like a top 25 recruit.
