Arrived yesterday and a few observations.
It's hilly. Imagine if San Francisco was layed out and developed in the 12th through 16th centuries.
Portugal is poor by EU standards but the infrastructure is way beyond ours.
Gas costs about $9/gallon
Two times yesterday I heard go Beavs while wearing my sweatshirt.
Boarded a flight Tuesday night at Philly. I think the baseballers were up eleven to nothing. No problem, right?
Much of my career was rail and rail transit. Their streetcars are on some damn narrow and steep paths.
Saw a billboard in yellow and blue that had two words. "F*ck Putin" (without the asterisk). Not sure why it was in English and not Portuguese.
Tomorrow is Nazere.

I am curious about how their infrastructure is beyond ours, I assume you mean the U.S. Could you give examples?
