See you at Goss Stanford has talent but had a rough start in the Pac, (1-2) Oregon, (0-3) @arizona, (3-0) Washington St, for a (4-5) record. One of the keys to kicking ass on Stanford, will be driving up their starters pitch counts. Get them out of there early. Their starters are Alex Williams RHP, Quinn Matthews LHP, & Drew Dowd LHP, they aren't invincible but are decent quality Pac 12 talent.(ERA's aren't spectacular but good hit to k ratios) Their bullpen has 3 or 4 quality arms, but if they go any deeper into the pen: "We should light them up like a Christmas Tree." Go Beavs. |

Raise your hand if you are excited for a good conference series at home  In looking at the overall team statistics/comparison... it appears our offense is superior, but Stanford does hit HRs... They do appear to have good pitching... Always fun to see who wins those matchups. Go BEAVS! |

It'll be an interesting matchup. I really do not tak emuch stock in NC schedules and results... for many reasons. But these two teams have played almost opposite ends of the Pac12, scheduling wise.
While OSU and Furd have a common opponent, a weak WSU team, OUs went 2-1 on the road, Furd 3-0 at home.
But, while OSU faced ASU and Cal, Furd faced two of the best team early on, 0-3 at Zona, and 1-2 vs ucks. Furd facing much better pitching hitting .280, OSU .314 vs their opponents. While Furd only fielding at .955 to OSU's .982 in Pac12 play, although I believe all their games were on natural surfaces??
Pitching vs the schedules so far:
Furd... 5.33 ERA... 11.11 K/9... 4.1 BB/9... 82 H in 81 IP... 8 HRs
OSU... 4.18 ERA... 8.70 K/9... 2.44 BB/9... 73 H in 79.2 IP... 7 HRs
Tonight is super important in this series. OSU's "ace" needs a W!
