My question here is does anybody know what Rueck thinks about our above topic. I think what we are doing is guessing wishing. Which can kind of be frustrating. Because we really have no idea what coach believes. He may feel set already? With 4 coming in. But of course minus any PG.

I have no idea what Rueck is thinking, but I do know that Jenny Huth, his assistant coach, recently started following on social media 3 guards in the portal, Deans, Fields, and now Gylten. It may not hold up in a court of law, but I think that is a pretty good sign the Beavs are looking for a guard from the portal.

Gylten would be an idea pick up for OSU. She takes care of the ball, has a lot of assists, and doesn’t care much about scoring. She would allow Talia the freedom to do her thing. However, if she wants to be closer to home, Corvallis certainly is not that.

Scott brought in 2 grad transfers 2 years ago (Ellie and Jovanna) and 2 (Tea and Emily) this last year. I would expect he plans to do likewise this year, and that he'll be looking for guards. Last year, however, it was pretty late in the game when he signed Emily and Tea. I would hope he is able to get some guards with Power 5 experience this time.

I have to believe Scott had bigger targets in the portal last year and didn’t land them. Hopefully a better outcome there this season.

Gylten's tweet says she wants to play closer to home. Oregon isn't really getting her closer to South Dakota than Utah was, so probably forget about that one.

This is frustrating because we can sell a PG ON A GREAT FUTURE HERE. What PG wouldn’t want the quality of bigs playing around her for her to set them up and visa versa? What’s there not to sell!
Maybe coach needs to come around a bit if he needs to have a complete package to really sell his program???
