I like doing play by play in threads for major stuff and just throwing out random stats. It makes the games more entertaining for me. I don’t want to annoy everyone though so just want to catch a temperature on how people feel about it so I can adjust my spam.

You sort of catch the highlights. messi is great at it. I try to follow his model when he's not around, but it's a LOT of work. And you have to be free for the whole game. |

I try to follow his model when he's not around, but it's a LOT of work. And you have to be free for the whole game. Yup, my norm is just nested quotes for an inning with highlights. Pitch by pitch PBP is way too much for me. I listen/watch while I’m working so it’s just a side thing I do to keep my day fresh. |

Usually I dont have time to pay close attention to all three games in a weekend. One for sure. Two maybe or just frequent statcast. However invariably I catch one entirely here. The play by play and associated banter in the thread gives me a quick way to catch specifics along with some story lines. To you, messi, and everyone that participates, thank you!

Yeah Messi does a great job on the PBP. It takes a lot of effort to do it.....constantly editing the post for half inning.......when those posts are long with the Beavs at bat.....it bodes well 😉

Thanks for all the kudos, I try to do pbp at every opportunity I get. When I'm around the computer, I usually start a gamethread 30 minutes before first pitch, otherwise I'm away from the computer due to work (this happens especially for weekday afternoon starts), Trail Blazers home game (season ticket holder), Timbers home game (season ticket holder), or the Beavers are home for the weekend and I'm at Goss Stadium (season ticket holder). And if you're wondering, the Beaver baseball team takes top priority when any two or all three are home on a weekend.

I honestly don't pay attention, cuz if I have internet to be on the thread, I can obviously either listen, or watch......and if I happen to be in a place I cant watch, or listen, I just pull up live stats.
