One could say the Azzurri were a flop. And you'd be correct on so many levels.
OTOH, big point by the USMNT at Mexico last night. We could have gotten three with some quality finishing. Need to wrap things up at home on Sunday and lock up a WC spot.
It amazes me that a country as large as our has not been able to produce a world-class finisher in more than 40+ years of program development. Maybe the closest was Dempsey, not a great technical player by any means, but one who could consistently put the biscuit in the basket.
