All points well-taken willtalk...You are obviously a very astute observer of women's basketball...I will need to follow your comments more closely in the future. In my defense I did not say JM was being pushed around and knocked down....rather just that when she gets bumped she bobbles and often misses the shot or fumbles the ball and it was a more general observation of her play over multiple games. Also I've always been of the opinion that you start your best player at each position, but you make a good point about KB still getting twice the minutes that JM does despite not starting. It may be that SR started JM these last 2 games to take early advantage of her extreme height advantage over her defenders or maybe other reasons as you mentioned. Also very good point about "timidity based on insecurity"...I hadn't thought about that and I see sewingbeaver also touched on this point in her earlier post.

I think Scott just decided to shake up his starting lineup in game 1 and, while the first several minutes were a disaster, the team (finally!) settled down after that, moved the ball well, put up 70 again (finally!), and won in good fashion.
So he did it again in game 2, and (without the initial disaster) the results were very similar. Best the team offense has flowed in back to back games since Maui - just before Christmas. Certainly the best Kennedy has looked in back to back games since she's had to play the post. And the best Jelena has looked in back to back games since she set foot on American soil.
Look for Scott to do it again against New Mexico.
