That's the injury that ultimately ended Tony Conigliaro's career.

We are fortunate to have the Casey Eye Institute in Oregon. Casey is part of the OHSU System with both research and clinical care available. People from all over the globe come to Casey's Macular center for care. A comforting thought for those with complex macular issues.

Gut punch after reading that. It is nice to get info on the injury but wowsers... that sucks. For anyone who has spent time in cages I guess you can ask why doesn't it happen more often or be shocked when it does.
Fingers crossed he will keep heeling.
Sounds like he had a great attitude about the entire thing. Get better TJ!

Kind of a what if for our house. In his senior year our eldest was standing out side the cage while a player who went on to play for Bobo was taking swings. The ball went through the netting and struck him in the face, but without the velocity that got Wheeler. Life is a matter of inches.
