That Melton home run was impressive.
He hit it other way and didn't even get all of it, yet it cleared the fence easily.

The WSU starter changed speeds well. Good slider. Always around the plate. A lot like the Irvine starter from last Sunday. Taylor pitched for the Knights last summer and was pretty solid. |

Great job, Carpenter. Pitch-by-committee works though Kmatz pitches quality deep enough so that it wasn’t a committee situation.

Kmatz looked stronger and better in his last innings. Brown looked really good, maybe soon to be a starter. Carpenter sure did his job. We need to get Donkey going! He has real trouble drilling the Ball like it did last year. Impressive top 6 at the plate.
