Free at last, Free at last. You could hear it in his voice late into the game and postgame. Resignation and defeat mixed a glimmer of hope. He deserves combat pay for having to watch that all season

What a contrast. One of the worst programs in the country, to one of the best.

I'm happy for Mike that s*** is over and he can move directly into what looks like an exciting baseball season.

This has been the same situation every year except for last year. Yea, but 3 wins? The program is officially a dumpster fire.

Why do you think so? to each his own but I enjoy Parker’s style. I think he has more passion for baseball than the other sports. His living and dying with every pitch, his weaving of stories into the play by play. Some of it could be that he has been voice for baseball during the greatest moments in Oregon state sports history

You make a good point about him being the voice for the 3 national titles. And I like listening to him, too, but some of the stories drive me nuts because I want to know what’s happening in the game. I like his work with the football games best. I think he does a great job there…except when he gets deflated by a poor play.

Interesting....I've never felt like Parkers stories took away from the game. In fact, I enjoy the humanity of it. He always promptly catches us up if his story runs into the action. I love the emotional investment.....the excitement, and disappointment. He knows the kids and he's invested.

I like a Parker….mostly. But he’s so invested now that his disappointment and emotions come through on broadcasts… pessimistic…. That’s not good for a PBP guy….

Baseball has long stretches of nothing happening. The stories are important.
