Holding my breath. It's not May 1st yet. We could only hope that you were actually “holding your breath” Not to confident that will happen. Kinda like holding our breath at your attempts at... what? Dumb arse quips? Lame humor? Or the inane retort. Oh wait, scrolling, scrolling. Yeah, you weren't involved in the current discussion. So, it must one of the former two. 😂

Another transfer Oregon State has reportedly shown interest in.
Femi Okukale — 6-5 guard started 28 games for Pitt this year and averaged 10.8 ppg, 3.5 rpg and 3.4 apg. Didn’t shoot very well in his sophomore year — 39% overall and 33% from 3 — but he did shoot 46% overall during his freshman season. Was a high 3* coming out of HS (top 200). Had back to back games of 23 and 25 points against Wake and Va Tech. Also had a 9 assist game against NC and 6 against FSU in two late season wins. From NY and played HS ball in MA, so who knows if he wants to come west (has an official visit to Rhode Island). Others showing interest include UConn, SMU, Oregon, and Ole Miss, so likely a long shot Hopefully the big role he’d likely have with the Beavs is appealing.

Another player Beavers have reportedly reached out to: Rudi Williams:; 6-2 guard from Coastal Carolina, who I believe would be a grad transfer. Just looking at his stats, I’d say, yes please. Averaged 14.7 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 3.2 apg this year. Even better is that he shot 50.9% overall and 44.7 from 3. Also had 1.5 spg and only 1.5 fouls per game. He 19 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists in CC’s upset over South Carolina and 30, 10 and 2 in win over 23-9 Winthrop. Not surprisingly, he has had plenty of interest since entering portal with Butler, South Carolina, Wichita State, BYU, Georgia, Florida, UCF, Memphis, Cal, Georgetown and San Francisco reaching out. Coastal Carolina transfer Rudi Williams is down to 8 schools. UConn, Cal, San Diego State, Butler, BYU, George Mason, Wichita State, and Xavier all make the cut.

On Twitter Daschel said the Beavs could have interest in Yuri Collins from St Louis. Given the need for a PG, I’m sure they do, but as the NCAA assist leader this past year so will plenty of other teams. Not holding my breath on this one as I can see no connection to OSU. He’s from Missouri, doesn’t look like Beavs recruited out of HS, nor does it appear GA Tech did, so don’t see new assistant having a relationship.

I noticed one of Collins coaches at StLouis is Ray Giacolletti...ex UW assistant coach and coached at Utah and Eastern Washington. Would he be a good candidate for the second assistant coaching job at osu,and bring Collins with him? Giacolletti is 60 and maybe doesn't fit the profile of a young connected assistant. Just a thought...

With the season over and the likelihood of some spots opening up on the roster in the coming weeks, I thought having a thread to discuss potential transfers in might be helpful. There has been a thread started on main portion of basketball thread titled Next Year’s Team where potential transfers out will likely be discussed. Players are already entering the transfer portal around the country, and the number will continue to grow over the coming weeks as teams’ seasons end. I haven’t seen any names thus far linked to the Beavers. Most entering the portal thus far have been from smaller schools in the East and South. Beavers did take Malone-Key from Fairleigh Dickinson this year, so not out of the question that players from those eastern schools would make it out this way. I’ve only seen two players of any note from the West enter the portal, but I’ve seen no reports Beavers have been in contact. Nor have I seen either play,. They are: — North Dakota freshman Paul Bruns — 6-4 guard who averaged 14.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. — Toni Rocak from UC-San Diego — 6-8 grad transfer originally from Switzerland who averaged 15.2 points and 6.5 rebounds. Scored 27 and grabbed 8 rebounds in an opening day win vs Cal this year. Rocak to SF.

Beavers have reached out to grad transfer from Weber St, who would have two more seasons of eligibility if decides to take his extra Covid year.
Seikou Sisoho Jawara — Two-time All Big Sky guard is 6-3 and originally from Spain. He’s shot over 40% from 3 the last two seasons. Averaged 12.2 ppg, 2.4 rpg and 3.0 apg last season — with almost identical stats the year before. Only negative I see from stats is he’s averaged over 2 turnovers a game each of last 2 years. Never seen him play, but he’s the type of shooter I’ve been hoping the Beavs would add in the last roster spot. Others showing interest include Xavier, SMU, Pitt, San Diego State, and Western Kentucky.

Beavers also been in contact with a big.
Chuks Isitua — 6-11, 220 pound center from IUPUI via Nigeria. The freshman had modest numbers this year — 5.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg and 0.8 bpg in 21.7 mpg. He is a work in progress. Didn’t start playing basketball until he was 13 and came to US at 14. Started just 14 of 29 games, but the last 7 games of the season, he averaged nearly 35 mpg — playing the full 40 in his last two games. In that time his numbers rose to 10 ppg, 9.0 rpg and 1.5 bpg, including a 4 block game. Competition for him right now doesn’t seem too steep with Fresno State, St Bonaventure, Tennessee State, BYU, NIU, Montana State Winthrop, Oakland and ETSU the others that have reached out.

Interesting. It looks like Isitua had offers from Kelvin Sampson and Rick Pitino coming out of high school.
Hmm... I've been hoping the last recruit is a big with potential (or better). He might fit the profile.

He might fit the profile. Yeah, I saw that. I have to wonder how “commitable” that Houston offer was. Given his offer list and that he ended up at IUPUI (which 24/7 doesn’t even show as offering), I think Houston might have given him courtesy offer because of the high school or AAU team he was on. Would be interesting to know how/why he ended up at IUPUI. Regardless though, based on his freshman numbers (never seen him play), he seems like an interesting developmental prospect. As I’ve said previously, I’d prefer a shooter for the last spot, but if they go big this guy could be interesting.
