..I would revise the rules so that 3-point shots that bank in off the glass only count as 2 points. Based on the reality that nobody intentionally shoots a 3 intending to bank it in. Therefore, they shouldn’t earn an extra point for a terrible shot.

I know it’ll never happen but it nonetheless makes perfect sense to me

Sometimes I hate remembering stuff like this but . . . Brian King from Ontario, then OSU, then Boise state in the 4A tournament in around 1985 banked in an about 25-footer from the elbow that he clearly intended. But I think it was before three pointers

If it's from half-court and beyond, I think it should still count as 3 points.

I thought the NBA was going to make that a rule a little while ago (bank shots from 3-pt range, not half-court and beyond)?
