A couple of little things hurt. Throwing from CF and not moving a runner with the bunt. I am not sure why the Anteater starter had so much magic. He didn't seem to be throwing that hard. What a great PH by Brady Kasper. Good for him!

Be honest. Who else thought that was a 2 run walkoff hr? Damn! I did. A little too high and it didn’t carry. Melton thought so. He was posing. I saw that. Must’ve been painful for him, too. |

What a great PH by Brady Kasper. Good for him! Sometimes a pitcher just has IT on a certain day. Their guy had our number today. Hats off to him for a helluvan outing. We were due for a day like this anyway. Cool thing is we got great contributions from "not the usual suspect" guys this weekend...ie Dukart, Kasper, McDowell. Our pitching staff, overall, was very good.....imagine if we get Frisch and/or Pfennings back. |

I saw Suarez pitch before….last week against Grand Canyon he held them down and then bullpen gave up gm3…. He’s one of those guys that doesn’t throw real hard. But he’s a pitcher. Hats off to him.
PS…. GCU is pretty good

That was a great Ballgame. Pitching close to a sweep. I credit Irvine and those two pitchers really scrapped. We did as well and that last inning had its moments. Also the error was correct on first baseman in my opinion.
We should be rated. Was glad to see little o lose their game.

What a great PH by Brady Kasper. Good for him! Our collective observation is our team struggles with the offspeed stuff. Change up or Breaking ball. There Sunday starter was throwing his offspeed stuff for strikes and we had alot of bad swings, swing and miss, foul it off etc. Moving forward I think our ability to hit a guy throwing junk might be the key to having a special season. The reliever they brought out was a side arm pitcher... much of the same. Not overpowering but good offspeed stuff and we seemed to have a hard time picking up the breaking ball. Understandable as you just don't see many sidewinders. Go Beavs! |

Even without all the new metrics if I was coaching against the Beavs there are a couple of important hitters that would never see a FB. Also from memory it seems SEC Teams really suck at hitting breaking stuff and junk. Watching Lattery I think he might do a great job against SEC teams if we can make to Omaha!
Sundays game just had that "feel" we were screwed. Whatever than means!
