Everyone needs to take a long, deep breath. This was a predictable year, we had three freshman (4 really as this was KB's first full season), two transfers and our star center went down with a shoulder injury. We currently have no Aleah, Sid, Destiny or Jaime "go to" scorer's; TVO is our best but she can't do it alone. Next year brings alot of promise, Beers and Gardiner are the real deal, I've watched a ton of video, very excited, Lily & Adlee are very good shooters, Greta and AJ will get better, KB will go back to her natural position, all in all a predictable year, our Beavers fought hard, just had a learning year, looking forward to next year and a Pac 12 Title....GO BEAVS!

What I find odd is that when one person asks for a thread to be full of just positive thoughts about the team this season, you guys can’t help yourself but fill it full of negativity.
When literally every other thread can be as negative as you want it to be.

Thus far it's an honest appraisal of this year's team, but it will soon devolve into a blame game and speculation about who will be jumping ship. That's fine. Those who wish to dwell on those things can do so on this thread. Those who don't care for that can simply not follow this thread (I won't), and post on threads looking to the future. Something for everybody. Sure. Just to point out, the future may be good or bad. I think it’s worth discussing both outcomes. We do in every other sport, it’s so weird that these things are almost taboo with women's basketball. Only for the minority. Like the ones who choose not to follow the thread yet post in it to share that?!

Funny. I saw no one, period, predict this!! In fact, I caught crap stating I couldn't see how this team finishes in top three (wouldn't even with TJ). And said something like 4th-6th would be a dog fight in a pretty balanced league. So... no one predicts injuries. But, almost all predicted several players performing far better. Far! In fact even after the TJ news most knew it would be a factor, but none predicted "this".

I'm as disappointed as anyone, especially with all the build-up in the off-season here and other places. However, I'm ready to come into next season as an underdog and build from there.
Looking back, I see the women as having super-high expectations of themselves and knotting themselves up with tightness for each game. Sort of like the runner that you see with every muscle and vein sticking out in his neck. I think TVO was an exception to that, but maybe not... she has a high ceiling.
Hoping they get a chance to do some post-season play for the experience!

My HONEST assessment is; even IF Taylor had been healthy, AND, IF… those two highly rated recruits were already in uniform…. unless one of those BIGS was MagicJohnsonesque… we STILL wouldn’t have had the play at the point to win the games we NEEDED. We lack ball skills and quickness. I’m NOT making s%#t up because “it makes me feel smart…”. I hope SR is really looking at the portal and the high school ranks for SOME PGs with quicks and the awareness of ball security.
