Thus far it's an honest appraisal of this year's team, but it will soon devolve into a blame game and speculation about who will be jumping ship. That's fine. Those who wish to dwell on those things can do so on this thread. Those who don't care for that can simply not follow this thread (I won't), and post on threads looking to the future.
Something for everybody.

Food/Stats for thought: Season | Overall - OSU Scoring | Overall - OSU FG % | Overall - Opponent Scoring | Overall - Opponent FG % | Pac-12 - OSU Scoring | Pac-12 - OSU FG % | Pac-12 - Opponent Scoring | Pac-12 - Opponent FG % | 2014-15 | 72.8 | .454 | 57.2 | .352 | 69.3 | .445 | 55.6 | .349 | 2015-16 | 66.9 | .437 | 51.9 | .324 | 62.4 | .424 | 50.6 | .328 | 2016-17 | 65.6 | .435 | 54.4 | .345 | 64.3 | .433 | 56.3 | .357 | 2017-18 | 72.6 | .481 | 58.9 | .350 | 69.6 | .469 | 61.3 | .368 | 2018-19 | 75.1 | .471 | 61.2 | .360 | 72.0 | .465 | 63.3 | .374 | 2019-20 | 71.7 | .463 | 58.4 | .353 | 67.9 | .440 | 61.9 | .372 | 2020-21 | 71.3 | .454 | 68.1 | .370 | 72.1 | .456 | 69.5 | .368 | 2021-22 | 64.3 | .413 | 62.7 | .365 | 60.0 | .402 | 64.9 | .378 |
This season, for a variety of reasons, has seen a marked drop-off in scoring and the highest conference opponent FG % since at least 2015.

We do in every other sport, it’s so weird that these things are almost taboo with women's basketball.

Nobody should be surprised by that.

I can't hear the word strug-a-ling without thinking of this:

Our 3 point shooting feels like its been in the toilet all season. Hard to win when you can't hit the threes. Another awful percentage today

I guess for me I am still blown away by how bad this team has become and how quickly it has happened. I have no answers not sure even what questions to ask. However having seen OSU teams in football, and mens basketball descend into decades of bottom dwelling, It is scary to see how rapid the quality of the women's basketball program is going downhill.
