looks like he'll get his chance right away. Lucroy just traded to Texas. and looks like Conforto will be a CF now with Bruce traded to NYM.

good for Andrew, look like the Giants were happy with trevor brown as a backup to buster. might get a chance to be an everyday player. little worried about Michael's playing time, that outfield is getting crowded.

Susac was too talented to justify having him a backup and Posey is not moving from behind the plate ... yet. When he does, the Giants will have Brown, Miguel Gomez and Arasmas Garcia. This was a good move for all concerned.

the Brewers have sent Susac down to AAA Colorado springs. Brewer starting catcher hitting a tidy .211 and they have another youngster they want to take a look at. hopefully Andrew gets the call when the rosters expand next month. baseball is a funny game, a year ago at this time it looked like Andrew was on his way to a long big league career, now he needs a break just to have another shot

and coincidentally the SkySox backup is some guy named Parker Berberet Parker didn't get promoted to AAA because he was lighting'um up in AA. He actually hasn't been hitting very good at all. I always thought he was a better receiver than Andrew while they were both at OSU but, he just hasn't hit in the Pros. I hope it isn't the case with Parker but, sometimes a really good guy who just wasn't going to make it gets sent to AAA as kind of a reward prior to getting released. And, more than once, there have been players who get to AAA and everything just starts to click and they start hitting. Hopefully Parker starts hitting and he finds a temporary home in AAA before catching on fire in the Biggs. Go Parker.

Agreed usmc58 - Parker has been mostly a back-up at several levels for a few years now. As a wild guess, he is good with young pitchers and a good teammate. With more guessing, he may be more of a coaching candidate than potential future Brewer.
