Please delete this before it gets out on other sites. Just what the team needs. Yeah, we’d be much better off being known as a fan base that can’t discuss tough issues like adults. Perhaps we should stick to blaming the selection committee for the Beavers possible tourney exclusion. “They have it in for us!!!” |

This seems to be a topic some folks deny. I brought it up and got a dumbass remark I failed to respond to. I see it and it explains our lack of sped. There is no reason to ignore this and accuse folks I guess of being racist or jimmy the Greek. Blah blah. Just open your eyes. Do not try and defend some of the things other Schools like usc accursed us of. I really want the beat players and people. Race is not my issue. If we struggle there than fix it. Do not deny it . We are what we are. Maybe Scott needs to take care of this. By the way what Iowa does is not relevant to me. What we do is. [br Jimmy the Greek wouldn’t touch this thread. Good lord. Of course not. I think that if -- IF -- there's anything to this, it's a combination of Rueck's basketball philosophy and the players he is actually able to land when recruiting from an overall group that he thinks are good fits on the court from year to year.
The location of OSU could be a factor, but probably not a big one.
I think when looking at other teams throughout the country, there seems to be a bigger balance between POC and non-POC players in the women's game as opposed to men's hoops.
As for Rueck, he clearly wants the best players he can possibly get.

I highly doubt anything in this thread isn’t used against us already in recruiting.
It’s an honest question to ask: many of the the top guards in the nation every year are black, and we haven’t had one at OSU outside of Destiny (who grew up in ID) since maybe Ragland?
However, I believe the answer is obvious if you put yourself in their shoes for five minutes, and it has nothing to do with a bias by Rueck or some alleged racist fans.

I simply asked him to explain how they looked like our team since he felt it was important enough to post about, and I know nothing about ISU. When he ultimately explained his assertion and why he made it, it was “kinda” disappointing to me. For the reasons I described. |

I mean the *ucks had just one and she turned the whole program around. If we had a lineup full of them imagine how good we’d be. Not sure why Scott can’t see the obvious like I can. |
