Start with stats, in this case, a little misleading.
In 35 innings pitched, we have allowed 38 base hits and 14 earned runs. The ERA is 3,60 and the Whip is 1.49. We have walked 14 batters and hit 2 while striking out 37. Our opponents hit .270 against us in 4 games.
The early games in Arizona are an evaluation period for the coaching staff. Under game conditions, they can evalute a player or check the progress of something they may working on with a player. For example, we have seen the "freshman under fire" routine and we have seen a refined pitch or a new pitch with some of our pitchers. To date, Coach Dorman has trotted 16 guys out to the mound including 3 transers and 4 freshman, seven new pitchers received their initial exposure to Beaver baseball with 6 seeing Division 1 competition for the first time.
Between the vererans knocking a little rust off in their first outing and maybe some butterflys with the new guys, the stats may have been a little higher than we might expect. Our freshman pitched a total of 6 2/3 innings, allowing 7 runs on 11 hits and 2 hit batters. That skewed the numbers a tad but didn't distort them appreciably.
We did not see Frisch (injury), Mundt (injury), Suhr, Hunter or Boisvert. Suhr may be the Sunday starter against Xavier. He's looked good and is rocking at 92-93 (T-94) and locating.
Our initial performances and stats need more cooking before we can begin assessing where we are with pitching in 2022. It's amazing that the early line on OSU was all about our front line starters and our depth in the bullpen. After this weekend series, our pitching isn't even mentioned - with the incredible offensive performance, it's almost become irrelevent.
I think it is still a major consideration - it's a long season.

Losing Mundt and Frisch really hurts the pitching staff. I'm glad the offense is better, but pitching gets you to Omaha.
Unless you go like UofA in 2012 and score 61 runs in 5 regional games to get to the CWS....lol

All of what you say is true.
It's also true that if you take out one inning in Game 2 when the 9th, 10th and 11th pitchers on the staff were on the mound and gave up almost 33% of the weekend's total earned runs - guys who probably can expect to see little action - the numbers change dramatically. I think the guys who are going to get the bulk of the innings this season pitched very well.

What are the injuries to Frisch and Mundt long or short time frame?

What are the injuries to Frisch and Mundt long or short time frame? Mundt is having TJ surgery and will miss the season. Frisch has "forearm tightness" and is at this point rehabbing his arm. Mike Rooney from D1 Baseball did color commentary Sat and Sun and said that it did not sound serious, meaning Frisch.

Let's hope that is the case, cuz forearm tightness for a pitcher is often times an indicator for you know what...hopefully he's had imaging already and it doesn't sound serious based on the results.

So when would Mundt's injury have occurred?

Unless you go like UofA in 2012 and score 61 runs in 5 regional games to get to the CWS....lol It did not hurt Arizona that their ace was Kurt Heyer, who was a Freshman All-American and two-time All-American, and their second-best pitcher was Konner Wade, who pitched for the Orioles last season. Arizona scored 61 runs and only gave up 15 earned runs en route to Omaha. In comparison: 2018 North Carolina scored 48 runs and allowed 19 earned runs in the five games before Omaha. 2018 Oregon State scored 49 runs and allowed 7 earned runs in the five games before Omaha.

Both Arizona 2012 & UCLA 2013 won a National Title while going undefeated in the post season. They were both 10-0 after securing the title. 3-0 Regionals 2-0 Supers Regionals 3-0 College WS 2-0 College WS Finals I'd still put the 2017 & 2018 Oregon St squads against anybody, though.(College teams) They might not win it but they sure were fun to watch.

Just from memory we have had a good number of Friday night guys who were lights out. Pencil their in name and it was pretty much an auto win. Last year was different but KA was not the KA prior to surgery. Not sure we have that auto-win guy this year. Our hitting just might make up for the difference. No matter this team appears to be really really good. We also might be looking at the best hitter we have ever seen in Jacob Melton.

Hmmm I’d take the 2017/2018 squad against either of them and I think they would take the WS......but that’s my opinion

I hated watching our best pitchers throw well but lose the game because we couldn’t manage a run or two.

LOVE Melton but BEST case for him is that he is better than 2018 Larnach, and I'm not sure about that yet. But no way over Conforto or Adley or Ellsbury and I think I'd take Madrigal too...maybe others?
