More praise for the offensive. Top to bottom a very tough lineup. I would compare it to the 2018 lineup only in this aspect. This group is putting back to back great AB’s and with their speed putting a lot of pressure on the other team. It’s like you know a big inning is coming and when the other team walks a couple or makes an error the beavers pounce and put up a crooked number. Melton and Boyd are 1A and 1B, add in Meckler and you have a outfield so talented that Greg Fuchs who played yesterday and made 4 or 5 really good plays in the outfield and hit a bases clearing double has no where to play. Bazana has a little ichiro in him, whether bunting or swinging it seems like he is running full speed when he make contact. Even the bottom of the lineup is doing a good job. Gretler and dernedde playing gray defense and chipping in at the plate. Dernedde has made some great plays at short, think Andy Armstrong more than Cayden. Lineup has shown lots of extra base power without hitting the ball out of the park TJ wheeler hit the first one of the season in the second game. A 440 foot line drive over the bullpen in right field. Interesting note the NM fans and players were pretty chirpy and when TJ hit it he walked halfway to first base while looking into their dugout. Really like this team’s offense right now but it’s early and there will be a lot more challenges down the road but certainly no complaints about the start. Pitching report coming later

Pitching report coming later Part of that chirpiness may be due to the fact that the starting pitcher for the Beavers, Jacob Kmatz, is from Albuquerque.
