Hate games like this - use up all our runs - at least it's a lot of rookies getting late hits - our starters bats saved a bit - of course if Forrester would swing sometime it would help But you just can't blame the backups for wanting to be successful at the plate. It's on NM to figure out a way to get them out.
At least we're not bunting and stealing bases. That would be bad karma.
That last UNM pitcher is going to have a bad weekend. Throws 1 inning, 52 pitches and gives up 11 runs......ouch.

The 'meat heads' running the Oregon St baseball sports web site have the Beavs 0-1, with a 21-1 loss to New Mexico.
Amateur hour, nice job.

Not really - 3 errors means not all those runs were earned, and if he can get a stretch of 0's or low score appearances it should only take half a season

How is Bazzana this good as a Freshman being from Australia? There's not a single Aussie batter in the major leagues. Travis is an extremely motivated and focused person. Baseball is what he does. Student of the game and of every detail it take to be great. Played 18U baseball at 15. Heard, he’s a second baseman because his arm isn’t strong. Took fall off, hired throwing instructor and practiced- increase infield velo by 10. He is simply: special.

Going bananas for Bazzana! My favorite part about this game, other than its a better result than the season opener a year ago, the starting outfielders went 5-13, drove in 3 runs, and only whiffed once!

I was wondering about that too. Do they play baseball in high schools in Australia, or did he go to a US high school? (I could Google that but I'm busy!) That's nothing. Last season, North Carolina State had a guy on their team, a regular starter in the field, from the Czech Republic.

AU baseball is a fairly big deal there. Not "football" big, but, since the late 1800's growing like crazy. TB had tons of good training and competition growing up.

New Mexico fan told us before the game that they have a new coaching staff and 50% of the team is new.
