Agreed. Matty's got his groove on. As they note, it is a small sample size, but I think the major league game light has clicked on for him, and it bodes well for his, and the Tigers futures.

Boyd stays in rotation for now. Zimmerman came off of DL today and is getting Matt's Thursday start but Pelfrey goes on DL today and Matt will get his Sunday start. an hour ago the Tigers announced that Matt will stay in the rotation for now

There is an article, which I wish I could link, that states that Boyd's velocity has gone up 2 mph on average since a change in arm slot recently. His top end has also gone up to 96+ from 93 since that change of a week and a half ago.

Matt with another good start, 6 innings, 5 hits, 1 run, 4 K's. game is tied and matt is out so no decision but a quality start. should keep him in the rotation
