Stats have her scoring 23 but I think they missed 2 points she scored in the second half. I’ve seen the replay with sling. If it’s true that she scored 19 in the first half. She didnt score 23 she scored 25. I watched her drive towards the middle in second half, pull up and hit a shot in front of the free throw line Then I watched her score 4 free throws down the stretch. If she did score six second half points. Which I saw her do. She ended up with 25 points if she made 19 the first half

The shot in the key at the end of the 3rd quarter was after the shot clock expired. They reviewed and took it off the board.

It was right before the end of the 3rd quarter.

That's one of the funniest assertions I think I've ever read on this board. Yeah, in a tight ballgame they just "missed" 2 points - and Rueck, Graves, their staffs, their players, all 3 officials, the announcers, all the fans in attendance (uo and OSU), everyone at the scorer's table and all the writers covering the game just "missed" 2 points. But you caught it. Thanks for the laugh.

Anyone else unable to view Talia’s game by game stats on the roster online? Only a handful of games are showing as far as I can see.

Ball was very clearly still in Talia's hand when the clock went to 0.0 and the red light activated. No argument from OSU.

I never saw that. The last time they replayed it it was when play had started again. I watched the backboard to see if it lit up and her shot was in slow motion, I looked and never saw the back board light up. That could have been due to slow motion? But agree no one questioned it. But the two of us said the same thing to each other how did the refs miss that. I never saw the clock either but on TV they usually show the shot in relation to the back board.

Seemed crystal clear to me. Pac-12 network showed replay right when they came back from the quarter break. The view clearly showed the game clock above the scoreboard (last possession of the quarter), the red light around the backboard and Talia - all together in one shot. They played it in slow motion then froze it. Clock at 0.0, red light on, ball in Talia's hand. Case-closed.

Talia get's a #5 rating of the best freshman from HerHoopsStats:
5. Talia von Oelhoffen - Oregon State
Like Miles, Talia von Oelhoffen entered Oregon State a year early and gained some experience. She started off on a strong note and has maintained her play throughout this season. She’s currently averaging 14.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. She was close to posting a triple-double and has had two double-doubles. She has had a 30-point game. She’s currently shooting 42.2% from the floor and has made 47% of her 2-point attempts. She’s also an excellent free throw shooter, as she’s currently shooting 87.1% from the floor. She’s been big for Oregon State this season and has given them a lift when they have needed it.

Thanks grey beav I am a proponent of Talias game. Other teams ,such as Cal, are in my opinion to try and double trap her. Scott was wise to this and kept her on the bench during the Cal game to protect against unnecessary turnovers or She probably would have had a bigger scoring game. Ruecks move with noelle was a great move. We need to force Cal to slow it down. Good going coach.
Since on this subject I’d like to say about the double trap in general that our kids don’t seem to be taught how you deal with that. You are to split that trap in half by forcing into and splitting the trap. I think that would help Talia, she is strong enough to do just that. In doing that they will trip her and foul her.

This was a shot clock expiration (before end of quarter) and not an end of the quarter/game situation. Therefore, while the replay showed the ball still in Talia's hand at 0.0, the red light did not light up, since that only lights at end of quarters, game or overtime periods. So, I was incorrect to say the light was on and visible in the replay. And I wanted to correct my error.
