You don't like it when a team makes four consecutive shots in a row?

You guys really pay too much attention to the mouthpieces in suits.
I only really listen to them when I'm following a game on the radio and radio announcers tend to be more skilled than TV announcers....
And that holds true until this Friday when Jon will start calling the Beaver baseball games. LOL.

OSUBeavers Track & Field articles always talk about "she stopped the clock at ..." or "stopping the clock at ...". It drives me nuts like fingernails on a chalkboard or chewing on aluminum. That phrase is usually used 3 or 4 times per write-up. I know it's easier to say, "stopped the clock" rather than "stopped the stopwatch", but clock time never stops, just stopwatches. What about using phrases like "clocked a season-best time of 7.63" or "recorded a winning time of 8.55". Aaarrrhhh! Just read one of the hole's T&F articles to prove to myself they wouldn't write that, but they use it too! [insert spitting here to get rid of the aluminum]

Josh Worden will do the games until men's basketball ends. He was the p x p voice of the Ridgefield Raptors of the WCL this past summer.

"Unanswered points." It can be used correctly, but it often is not. It is unanswered, when the other team never scores again. It is not "unanswered," when the other team actually answers with a score of their own. They might be "straight points" or "consecutive points." There are a lot of ways to phrase it that actually makes sense. But it is often gobbledygook nonsense. Calling end arounds "sweeps" also bothers me. Calling an end around a "reverse" bothers me. It's not a reverse unless someone actually reverses field. Sweep left, hand off to the receiver going the other way = reverse. If you just hand it to a receiver coming across the formation, there's nothing "reverse" about it. It's an end around.

It’s only egregious if you are a Beaver fan.

Referring to a curve ball as a spinner. That's one from our former early season announcer turned sex offender Jay Reese.

Worden is good on OSU baseball except for "runners at the edges." Runners are at the corners of the diamond, not the edges (the edges would be the baselines).
