"We had a great showing by our throwers this weekend under some challenging circumstances," said assistant coach Pete Herber. "Our weight throwers had two competitions in the same day, which they had never done before, and all of them had better marks in the second competition. Redshirt freshman Markayla Billings and redshirt sophomore Caitlyn Marx hit PR's, redshirt senior Keely McLaughlin had a season best, and redshirt freshman Jade Whitfield showed consistency over 16.00 meters. The continue to get better to the shot put each time out. Keely had a season best yesterday and Jade threw a PR today. They're making good progress at the right time.
"We had another solid day on the track," Herber added. "We're getting some consistency with our efforts each week. Sophomore Adael Scatena continues to have great competitions. Her growth this season has been so much fun to watch. We are all looking forward to what's coming in the next few weeks with this group."
I'm currently watching a documentary on beavers. It's the best dam show I have ever seen.
