Was a senior in high school grad transfer last year, like Talia! Her freshman year is for this year and is being treated as such for she has won freshman of the week awards 5 times this year in her league, NCAA DIVISION ONE TEAM SAME AS OSU IS? So yes I’m concerned about how Talia has been treated by the pac 12, after a 31 point effort last week. Yet the girl who got it over her got it now two weeks in a row even though her performance wasn’t as good as Talias! Plus what about the new NIL rule for college athletes saying they must be treated with the same respect that paid athletes should be treated. The pac 12 may be playing favorites by manipulating this rule or making this rule arbitrary? Well maybe Norte dames is doing this also? For you have in one section of this country and not in another a now arbitrary use of this rule? Talia deserves more respect than she is getting by her league last week? Maybe she should take it up with her agent or the college athletes union? |

My guess is that Talia doesn’t care all that much about being named Freshman of the Week. I don’t know her or her goals, but feel they are probably bigger than a meaningless weekly award. She will likely make the all-conference team at the end of the year, and each of the next 3 after this one. Winning games is probably what she really cares about. |
