Any games you plan to watch tonight? I delayed my Sling Pac-12 upgrade until Sunday's game vs. Washington.
Looks like ASU and Colorado are have a heck of a game tied at 46 going to OT.
Rest of the conference is playing tonight except us and WSU. Bummer.
GO BEAVS.

UW hangin' with "them". Only down by 4 at halftime. They led by as much as 5 until "they" went on a 9-0 run. Mulkey looks pretty solid at center for UW. She stuffed Prince earlier in the game.

Mulkey is going to be a match up problem on Sunday. They were in it against UCLA also until they ran out of steam in that game. They are way better than Cal imo.
Btw, Washington does not give many fouls as they are one of the leaders in the nation on not fouling.

I watched parts of Oregon/Washington and Stanford/California games. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not sure I've ever seen the Pac12 so balanced. Poor Colorado lost to Arizona State in OT. Colorado has now lost by single digits to Stanford and then lost 2 OT games in a row. Washington may be the worst team in the conference, but they hung tough with the Ducks. Utah had a horrible 2nd quarter against Arizona which doomed them, but otherwise outplayed Arizona. USC is up and down. I'd say all teams look like they could win at just about any time. Cal is the other team in the conference that may be the worst team, but in the first half against Stanford, both teams looked good.
The Beavs have their work cut out for them, especially if Taylor's injury lingers.

Washington led both UCLA and USC at the half, on the road. They did nothing in OOC noteworthy, but they seem to be one of those pesky teams who you think should be an easy W, and then it isn't.

Last night was the 1st time I've watched UW this year. I thought they ran their offence rather efficiently. Mulkey is stronger, and just all around better than I thought she would be...
The Ducks never got balanced and disciplined at all, and they pretty much decided to win the game on surplus talent and taking fairly easy shots from distance...They got away with it, but not by much.
Tomorrow it will be interesting to me how long it takes Rueck to go to a Zone D against the Huskies....They run their offensive sets rather crisply against Man D, and that is a problem if Kennedy and Jelena get into foul trouble - which they are both pretty good at....
I'm still waiting for Kampschraeder to tear loose....She's capable of elevating her game in a way that can make a difference in the Win-Loss column - and I'm hoping she does....
Whatever the case, a "W" in Seattle is essential for the team, and damn near mandatory for my mental health.... GO BEAVS!!

I may be completely off on this, but I think Greta Kampschroeder is playing with a little lack of confidence in her offensive game. I forgot which game it was, but in one game she had missed some early shots, and then she got her own rebound and put it in. After that she was off to the races the rest of the game. I think once she gets confidence she can score at this level, in Pac12 play, she'll show some of that elevation you are looking for. My concern is that it doesn't happen until next season. You are correct, we could really use it this year.

Agreed, I am guessing that she let all the talk about Pac-12 season being another level get to her, she'll get it back, maybe even sunday ...can always hope.

Also agree. I think she was 1 of 10 against Arizona, and looked very, very tentative in the first half against Colorado. Hopefully, the pair of three's she made in the second half will help going forward. She's just a freshman though, starting in the nation's toughest conference, and there's bound to be some doubt when the shots start missing.
I've said this before, and will no doubt say it again: where would Talia be if that very first shot she took as a collegian hadn't gone in? Give Greta time; she'll get through it.

Utah had a solid first half against they Oregon, they lead 29-28 at half. Oregon not shooting it well from three, so they could run away with it if they heat up. They're getting out rebounded 21-19, which was a bit of a surprise.
Roberts does a great job of finding some under the radar sleepers.

Yes, if Utah had not lost their best big, McFarland, early on, it might have been even more competitive.

She's had a couple quiet games in a row, but I'd say Johnson has been their best player this year, not just best big.
Definitely agree w/ the sleepers. I don't remember hearing anything about either Johson or Kneepkens, they've both been very good. Both should be on the all Freshman team if they keep it up. Outperforming a bunch of higher rated prospects in the conference.

Hoping it's nothing serious, but adds a little advantage to us, maybe, from the USC preview page:
