Mack was perfect, 6-6 overall 4-4 behind the arc. Also 7 rebounds. TVO led them w/ 17. OSU had a block party, 12 total. 18 TOs in an OT game against a team like Colorado who thrives on forcing TOs I think is acceptable. Battled on the boards, 38-36 CU. Gave up 15 O boards, Buffs were quicker tracking down some long rebounds off jumpers. After a chilly start 11-27 behind the arc for the game is pretty good. As mentioned the defense was really good today.
Hollingshed eventually got going but not a monster game, 13 pts/11 reb. Miller led them w/ 18. She always showed potential at Washington but wasn't an efficient player, had a horrible FG% in 2 years there. She's been a revelation for CU. I've never been a fan of Sherrod. She stunk today, 2-9 shooting, 4 pts/1 assist, almost no impact on the game.

Good to pull this one out in the end! Almost gave it away late in the game more than once. Still a lot of maturity needed for this team. Tough game. Defensive slugfest. Until our team can show they can handle the high pressure teams are going to continue to press our guards. The frosh guards need to grow up fast.
Great games from Mack and Mitrovic! Jelena's best game at OSU probably. Corosdale continues to show up big. Adams had a nice game. She is at times the only one able to break down her defender and initiate the offense. Would like to see her attack the basket a little more.

She has good touch around the rim, quickness, and solid footwork, so it’s really surprising she shot so poorly. She was very good against OSU for UW last season. Wetta is going to be a steady point guard for Colorado for the next few years. She was Raegan’s teammate in high school.

Stat page: osubeavers.com/sports/womens-basketball/stats/2021-22/colorado/boxscore/18090What stood out to me: 6 different players got blocks and 6 got steals, good hands today, everybody got a rebound except Codding, (Mannen in for less than a min), 42 mins for Corosdale, glad she is durable, always has been, Ellie with another of those out of bounds dives to save a ball, Mitrovic with a one-handed rebound late in the game , juggled it and kept control.

Ron Callan got a little wound up on this one (actually, so did I)
Jelena to Ellie to Talia. Nothin' to it.

Ellie's drive to take us to OT. Converting with nice touch against 3 CU defenders.

Great win Beavs. W/O Jones, too. Depth is so important. Hopefully TJ will be back, pronto. Mitrovic is a solid rebounder. Needed it.

Some of the +/- for OSU: - Jelena; +7 - Kennedy: -9 - Tea: +11 - Greta: +3 - Talia: +3
Everyone else was within +/-2.
I always take +/- with a grain of salt, but this is the second game that Kennedy had the largest minus on the team.

Makes it seem as if what one player does on the court is the whole reason the other team has success or doesn’t. Doesn’t account for mistakes of the other 4 players.

It was nice to see our three's going down. Obviously we need to take better care of the ball and be more confident and quick with our inbound passing, but I'd really like to see more fast breaks. We had some opportunities this afternoon to make them happen and CR has us pull up to run a play. We really needed this win! And.....sorry, Geno.

Ellie's drive to take us to OT. Converting with nice touch against 3 CU defenders. That was the play. This team needs someone who can go hard in the paint. She stepped up big.

Yep! How about that 6 for 6 Eastern Assassin Ellie Mack today? Perfect from the floor, shot us into OT, 7 boards, involves her teammates like crazy - what's not to love?

Go BEAVS. Slim crowd with just about 20 minutes to tip. Hope more are on the way. in the end, attendance 3854, not bad for a mon, rescheduled game, looking at the broadcast it look very sparse in the lower sections.

Ellie is the perfect example of what can happen with a transfer, unfortunately she appears to be the exception. The second year really helps, Ellie has become a Beaver and is leading us like one.
